Since "Yes"
A year ago and a day in between Sunday and Monday this past week, J proposed in our quiet apartment above Reston Metro Plaza.
A year ago tomorrow, we took what we didn't know would be our last flight of 2020 to Florida to visit and see if we actually wanted to move there.
Shortly after that trip, we were quarantined in our apartment, working weird schedules, trying to find Clorox wipes and toilet paper that came on an actual cardboard roll, and cleaning like maniacs while COVID-19 ravaged the globe.
The world stopped, but our lives kept moving - and quickly. Since then, we said “I do”, packed up our apartment above the plaza and drove over 1,000 miles to our new apartment in the Sunshine state, and found out we were going to be parents.
Today, we closed on our house.
Four years ago, I could not have imagined this life...meeting J, marrying again, carrying our baby, owning a home, living closer to my parents...But here I am, living the (quarantine) life I could not have imagined and I wish I had words to describe...
How thankful I am for J and his constant love and support. None of this life would be possible without him.
How thrilled I am to call this house "home" and raise our son there.
How excited I am for the life and future that J and I are building together.
with love,
